- Remove the metal ignition key from the fob.

- Insert the ignition key in the notch on the left with the FORD logo facing upward.

- Gently remove the back cover of the key fob.

- Remove the old battery using the ignition key.

- Insert the new battery with “+” facing downward and the “-“ facing upward.
