CARVIN

Terms of Service

Effective from 2026-06-01. Any changes will include an updated date.

1. What Carvin is

Carvin (carvin.app) is an online service for checking vehicles by 17-character VIN, aggregating government and commercial databases from the USA, Korea, Russia, Japan, China, and the UAE. The service operator is the Carvin team, Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. What's in the report

Report contents depend on the chosen plan and the car's country of origin. A detailed list of sources per plan is published on /pricing. We pass data through as providers returned it, without making things up. Each report shows the status of every source (ok / partial / missing / error) and the generation date.

3. What is NOT in the report

  • Guarantee of no hidden defects: we show what's registered in sources. If an accident isn't recorded in Carfax — we don't know about it.
  • Legal advice: a report does not replace a mechanic's inspection or legal review at purchase.
  • Vehicle safety guarantee: a car with no accident history can still be defective.

4. Payment and refunds

Payment methods: Kaspi QR, Kaspi remote invoice, bank card via Polar.sh (Visa/Mastercard). Report access opens automatically after payment confirmation.

100% refund within 7 days if the report contained a data error on our side (VIN decoding mismatch, technical failure, report unavailable). Write to support@carvin.app.

No refund if the report was generated correctly but didn't surface problems later found on the car — that means no data was in the sources.

5. Subscriptions (Starter / Business)

Subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled in your account at any time. Unused report quotas do not roll over to the next period.

6. Anti-abuse

Prohibited: automated scraping of our reports, reselling access, using data to illegally identify car owners, DDoS. If detected — account suspension without refund.

7. Limitation of liability

Carvin is not responsible for purchase/sale decisions made based on a report. The service's maximum financial liability is limited to the amount the user paid for the specific report.

8. Changes to terms

We may change the terms. We'll notify you of material changes by email and in the site header 14 days before they take effect.

9. Dispute resolution

All disputes are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan. First file a pre-trial claim to support@carvin.app (we review within 14 days), then proceed to court at the operator's place of registration (Almaty).
