2007 Hyundai Sonata Cabin Air Filter Replacement

Repairing a 2007 Hyundai Sonata cabin air filter will help the air flow in the car become cleaner and it may save gas for the user. It is a quick and easy repair that takes about seven different steps, and two steps to put everything back together. This repair does not include any tools, all that is needed isa new cabin air filter that can be picked up at a local auto store. It costs about $18 to repair.

  • Make sure the car is off and the passenger door is open.
  • Locate the indent on the inner side of the door.

  • Then gently pull until you hear three clicks.

  • Open the glove box, and make sure nothing is in there.
  • Next, gently push down until it comes loose from the clips on the left and right.

  • Once the glove box is loose, locate latches, on the left and right top and bottom corners, and pinch together, at the same time, to free the air filter.

  • Gently pull the air filter straight out.

  • Push the air filter in the four corners to release the old one.

  • Place the new air filter in the square and push the four corners to lock it into place.

  • Place the filter back into the correct spot until you hear two clicks.

  • Then, push the glove box up back into place.

  • Next, place the dash cover, taken off in the first step, back into its location; listening for three clicks.
