2004 Lexus 330 RX Battery Replacement

The guide covers the replacement of Lexus 330 RX 2004 battery. This guide can be used when the battery is dead or damaged. Battery are dangerous, use extreme caution during all the steps of this guide.

  • Pull up the lever underneath the steering wheel to pop up the hood.
  • Unlatch the hood.
  • The battery should be located on the lower right side of engine.

  • Use a wrench with a 10 mm socket to remove the bolts of the bracket.
  • Repeat the step above for the second bolt.

  • Remove the metal rod on top of the battery.
  • The second and third pictures were taken without the battery for a better view of the rod.

  • Remove the bolts on the clamps with a 10 mm socket.
  • Repeat the process on the second terminal of the battery.

  • Carefully remove the clamps from the terminal.
  • Sometimes clamps are stuck in place due to corrosion or battery leak. Use caution while removing it.

  • Carefully remove the battery from the engine.
  • Do not tilt the battery while removing it.

  • Insert the new battery in the engine.
  • Place the metal rod back in place.

  • Place the bracket back on top of the battery.
  • Use a wrench with a 10 mm socket to secure the bolts of the bracket.
  • Repeat the above step for the second bolt.

  • Put the terminal back on.
  • Put the bolts on the clamps back on with a 10 mm socket.
  • Repeat the previous step for the second bolt.
