2002-2004 Nissan Xterra Taillight Replacement

  • Turn off the vehicle by removing the keys from the ignition.
  • Open the back trunk door.

  • Use the 10 mm wrench to remove the two screws on the back panel.

  • Gently, but firmly push the assembly to loosen the plastic alignment pins.

  • Remove the taillight socket from the taillight assembly by rotating it counterclockwise and lifting the socket out.

  • Remove the defective light bulb from the socket by pulling up on the socket.

  • Insert the new light bulb into the same socket.
