2007-2011 Toyota Camry Headlight Bulb Replacement

Headlight bulbs in all cars will eventually be used up or burnt out. This will require these bulbs to be replaced.

Driving with one or both headlights not being functional could lead to accidents on the road. That is why cops pull people over for this very reason.

This guide will provide steps on how to replace these used up or burnt-out headlight bulbs. All you need is your hands and the right bulbs to get the job done.

Step-by-step instructions

  • Pop up the hood of the car.

  • Locate the headlight bulb on the inside of the hood and hold onto the bulb.
  • The other headlight bulb is in the same area on the other side of the car.

  • Turn counterclockwise (1/4 of a turn) to remove the bulb and its attached plug from the socket.
  • This step is applied for both headlight bulbs.

  • Hold onto the bulb with one hand while holding down the clip at the bottom of the plug to remove the bulb.

  • Remove the new bulb from its package.
  • Make sure to not touch the glass part with your hands. This can cause a hot spot on the bulb, making it burn out faster. Wipe the bulb with a paper towel if contact was made.

  • Place the bulb back into the plug and press down until it click into place.
  • The bulb only goes in one way. Make sure the plug and the bulb are facing the same direction.
