- Press both black buttons located on the sides of the bottom chrome section and pull apart.
2016 Audi TT Key Fob Battery Replacement
If your 2016 Audi TT key fob is not functioning, your battery may be damaged or dead. A functioning battery allows you to start and unlock/lock your vehicle without having to use your mechanical key in the key fob. Disposal of the spent battery should be done properly. The spent battery can be handled by the mail-order service, Battery Solutions, which will recycle your spent batteries at a low cost, calculated by the pound. Also, the national chain, Batteries Plus Bulbs, will take the battery and recycle it, and they provide the service at no cost. Here are instructions to help replace your battery.

- Separate the key part from the key fob and you now have access to the battery.

- Press both black buttons again and pull the battery part from the key fob.

- Remove the old battery from its holder and place a new one.

- Insert battery holder into key fob.
- Make sure the battery part is pushed all the way in, or the key part will not align back around with the black buttons.

- Insert the key back into the key fob. You now have a new battery in your 2016 Audi TT key fob.
