1997 Saturn II Passenger Side Mirror Replacement

This is a guide for how to replace the passenger side mirror of a 1997 Saturn II. Prior to completing the guide, ensure that you have all of the tools and parts needed as listed on the page. This is a suggested website for where the required part can be purchased. The list of tasks will take no more than thirty minutes to execute, and it only requires one person. When replacing the side mirror, take care of the existing mirror when it is detached and keep it from breaking because the glass may cause harm.

  • Pry the plastic panel away from the base of the side mirror with a metal spudger or your hands.

  • Remove the three 10 mm bolts using the 10 mm socket and ratchet extension.
  • If there is an existing side mirror attached, hold it to keep it from falling.

  • Remove the existing side mirror if there is one attached.

  • Mount the replacement passenger side mirror.
  • Ensure it lays flat with the car.

  • Hold the side mirror in the slot.
  • Tighten one 10 mm bolt as much as you can by hand first to keep the mirror in place, and then tighten the remaining two 10 mm bolts.

  • Replace the plastic panel by snapping it back on.
