- Open the bottom using the method to change the battery
- Pull down on the bottom of the back of the 'car' to pull the battery cover off
Tesla Model X Key Fob Teardown
I got my hands on a defective Tesla Model X key fob, so naturally I wanted to take it apart.

Remove sides
- Use a metal spudger to unhook the three clips on each side, front, middle, and back
- You may have to pull down on the bottom to release the small ledges holding on the side

Removing top
- Release the four clips that have been revealed on the sides

Remove buttons
- Pull out the button standoffs with some [product|IF145-020|tweezers]
- They just slide right out!

Remove side buttons
- Pop the buttons out with some tweezers and remove top and PCB

Done!
- There you have it!
- And no glue!
- To reassemble, go in reverse
