2021 Chevrolet Silverado Tail Light Replacement

This guide demonstrates step-by-step on how to change your tail lights. It is a relatively easy process and with this alone, you can change the actual tail lights themselves and any light within the taillight.

  • Open the tailgate.
  • Remove the top and bottom T15 screws from each side of the tail lights.
  • Gently remove the tail lights by pulling outward.

  • Unplug the sockets and remove the reverse light bulb from the tail light.

  • Plug the brake lights connector.
  • Twist and secure the socket tightly.
  • Plug in the turn signal bulb connector. Twist and secure tightly.

  • Plug in the parking lights connector. Twist and secure the socket tightly.
  • Plug in the TURN SIGNALS connector. Please follow the same steps for the other side of the tail lights.
  • Make sure all the connections are plugged and tight. Also ensure that the caps are sealed.

  • First, remove the reverse light bulb from the vehicle.
  • Then, connect the socket to the reverse light connector from the new tail light.

  • Lastly, plug the vehicle’s tail light socket to new tail light connector.

  • Gently push the tail light into the mounting position and use T15 screwdriver to tighten the top and bottom screws.
  • Repeat the same process for the other side of the tail light.
