This guide will show you how to replace headlight bulbs on your fifth generation Dodge Caravans which cover the years 2008-2020. It will walk you through removing the old bulbs and installing new headlights bulbs for your van. Over time, old lights tend to emit less light through the headlight which makes it harder to see at night. It's advisable to replace both headlights even if only one is out. The other light is likely to go out soon, and replacing both now can help avoid additional repairs.

Step-by-step instructions

- Lift the hood release on the drivers side seat, near the foot pedals.
- Open the hood latch and lift the hood up until it stays open on its own.
- The headlight socket is located along inside edge of the hood.

- At the rear of the headlight assembly, rotate the bulb in a counterclockwise direction to detach it from the socket.
- Release the clips on both sides and take it out from the wiring harness.
- Insert the new bulb into the harness. You will know it is complete when you feel the clips attaching.
- Don't touch the bulb with your bare hands. The oils and salt from your hands will reduce the life of the bulb and possibly damage it.

- Align the tabs on the socket with the opening on the back to reinstall it.
- Turn the socket clockwise to secure it.

- Close the hood.
- Test out your new lights.
- To view the lights better, test them out at night.
