- Pull up on the hood slightly and lift the safety latch.
- ***The hood will not open unless the safety latch has been lifted.***
- Open the hood and hold it with one hand.
- Grab the prop rod in the other hand.
- Insert the prop rod into one of the slots in the hood to secure it in place.
- Make sure the prop rod is secure in the slot otherwise the hood may fall.
- Unclip the wiring harness from the retaining clamps with a flathead screwdriver.
- Pull the wiring harness out of the clamps.
- Unscrew the four cover-mounting screws holding the air filter cover on.
- ***The screws do not come out of the filter housing.***
- Separate the housing halves to access the air filter element.
- Remove the old air filter.
- Place the new filter in the housing.
- The new air filter will sit comfortably in place without wobbling.
