Here is a quick 5 min fix showing you how do get the job done, save you a little money, and not go to the auto-shop to get it fixed.
The only tool needed for this fix will be a Philips head 2x100mm screwdriver.
Step-by-step instructions

- Remove the taillight from housing.

- Do a quarter twist to unlock damaged light.
- You should feel the light housing stop once you unlock it.

- Pull out the light from the housing

- Remove the bulb from the socket.

- Put in the new light.

- Put the light and connection back in place and turn it back to the lock position.

- Place the whole light back to where the screw holes on the tailgate side line up

- Reinsert the screws and tighten until the taillight is secure.
