2009-2014 Hyundai Sonata Cabin Air filter Replacement

This repair is for people who may be having issues with the quality of air that is coming out of the air vents when the heater and or A/C is turned on.

  • Go to the passenger side of the car and sit in the passenger seat. Pull the glove box down using the lever.

  • On the right side of the love box will be a plastic hydraulic; push the two pieces of plastic of the part sticking out towards each other. This should release the glove box on this side.

  • Then on the top left, there is a plastic screw; unscrew it and be mindful that when this happens, the glove box will swing down.

  • On the right side there should be a clamp and push the two ends against each other and pull towards you.

  • Then just pull the cover to the right to slide it out. Then you can access the air filter and change it from here.
