Remove Key
- Release latch on back of key and pull from key ring to remove the backup metal key from the rest of the fob.

Step-by-step instructions

Split key fob
- Using a knife or small flat blade screwdriver pry open the two halves of the key.
- To avoid cosmetic damage start from the inside where the metal key was removed in the previous step.

Remove battery cover
- Remove black circular cover, underneath is an O-ring and the battery.

Replace Battery
- Battery can easily be removed and replaced. Using CR2025 3V battery, ensure writing is visible with battery installed.
- To reassemble reverse steps, install battery cover, snap the two halves together and push metal key back into its receptacle (no tools required for reassembly).
