2012-2018 Toyota Corolla LE Headlights Replacement

Step-by-step instructions

  • Pull the hood release lever under the dashboard.
  • Open and prop the hood open.

  • The back of the headlight assembly is inside the engine bay.
  • The ***low-beta, bulb (H11)*** is positioned toward the fender.
  • The ***high-beam (9005)*** is closer to the center of the car.

  • Press the release tab and disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the bulb.
  • Grip the build’s base and twist it counterclockwise about a quarter turn.
  • Carefully pull the bulb straight out of the headlight housing.

  • ***Caution:*** Do not touch the glass part of the new bulb with your fingers. Skin oils can shorten the bulb’s lifespan. Be sure to wear gloves, especially when handling the replacement bulb.
  • Hold the new bulb by its base.
  • To secure, insert the bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise until firmly tightened.
  • Reconnect the wiring harness by pushing the connector back onto the bulb until it clicks.

  • Turn on headlights to confirm they work.
  • If the bulb doesn’t light up:
  • Ensure the bulb is properly seated.
  • Check that the harness is securely attached.
