How To Replace the Engine Air Filter In Your 2018–2024 Jeep Wrangler JL (3.6L)

This guide shows how to remove the old engine air filter and install a new one on a 2018–2024 Jeep Wrangler (JL) equipped with the 3.6 L Pentastar V6.

Dirty or clogged air filters can hamper engine performance—replacing it regularly will keep your Jeep running well.

Follow the steps below to access the filter housing, swap the filter, and secure everything back in place.

Step-by-step instructions

Locate the air filter housing

Release the clips

Remove the housing bolts

Remove the old air filter

Install the new air filter

Align the housing properly

Reinstall the housing bolts

Secure the clips
