You only have to lift off three of the Air Filter Cover clips to be able to slip the Air Filter out of the housing
3
Removing the Spark Plug Cover
Turn the Spark Plug Access Cover screw and then lift the cover out from the bottom and DOWN. The cover has a built in bracket on the backside at the top that slips under a mount.
4
Accessing the Spark Plug
The Spark Plug tool that comes with the generator is a generic tool which does fit over the spark plug but there is no way to turn it using the bar handle that is provided. See Video
5
Using a Rachet, Universal and Socket
Because the OEM tool does not work to loosen or tighten the Spark Plug, you will have to use a traditional 13/16th spark plug socket and a Universal Joint attached to a 6in. extension to reach the spark plug and loosen or tighten it. The OEM tool may be used to spin the spark plug either out or in with your fingers once loose.
6
Replacing the Spark Plug Cover
Be careful to fully slip the tab under it's mounting bracket at the top before pressing the cover into place and tightening the hold down screw
