- Use an 8 mm socket and ratchet to remove the two 25 mm hex washer bolts securing the tail light assembly to the vehicle body.

- Use a plastic panel removal tool to create a gap between the tail light housing and the vehicle body.
- Gently but firmly pull the housing straight toward you to release the retaining clips.
- If necessary, gently pry around the edge of the assembly to loosen it.

- Depress the locking tab on the electrical connector and pull it straight out to disconnect it from the tail light.
- Remove the old tail light assembly.
- Connect the electrical connector to the replacement tail light, ensuring the locking tab aligns with the slot before pressing it into place.

- Align the pins on the tail light assembly with the mounting holes in the vehicle body.
- Press the assembly firmly into place.

- Install one mounting bolt to hand-tighten it to temporarily secure the tail light assembly.
- Test the tail light to confirm proper operation before tightening the bolts fully.
- Install the remaining bolt and tighten both bolts fully.
