2024 Cadillac Lyric Cabin Air Filter Replacement
This guide showcases how to replace the cabin air filter in a 2024 Cadillac Lyriq. Maintaining a clean filter is essential for optimal HVAC performance and interior air quality. It is recommended to replace the air filter on a Lyriq every 36000 km or 2 years, whichever comes first. The compartment for the filter is located behind the passenger side glove box and can be accessed by detaching the glove box from its suspenders.

Step-by-step instructions
- Open the glove box and remove the contents.
- Push the release tab at the top-right corner of the glove box to the left to detach the upper trim piece.
- This is done to make the glove box less rigid and easier to remove.
- Firmly apply pressure to both sides of the glove box, squeezing inwards and pulling it down in one motion.
- Dont be afraid to apply a lot of pressure, as it may be necessary.
- Unhook the string on the right side of the glove box from its anchor so the glove box can lower further.
- Let go of the string near its opening.
- Pinch the tabs on the right side of the access door, then pull the door left and outward to remove it.
- Slide the old air filter out and replace it with a new one.
- When installing the new cabin air filter, ensure the airflow arrows point in the correct direction.
Conclusion
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order. If you have trouble re-attaching the string to its hook try using a narrow piece of plastic, like a pen cap to maneuver it under the foam.
