Lexus CT200h Spark Plugs Replacement

This is a simple guide to replacing the spark plugs in a 2014 Lexus CT200h car.

Replacing the spark plugs are really important as it ensures that your engine is running smoothly.

Quick note: Make sure to have the correct 10 mm socket. Without it, it's going to be difficult to loosen the spark plugs.

  • Use a socket wrench to loosen the terminal bolt, then disconnect the negative ground cable from the battery.

  • Disconnect each of the four spark plug wires by hand.

  • Remove the four bolts by using an impact socket ratchet.
  • Remove the four coils.

  • Insert a 10mm socket into the first spark plug and loosen it using an extension.
  • Repeat with the other three spark plugs.

  • Once you've loosened the spark plugs, remove them by hand.

  • Insert the new spark plugs using the 10mm socket and ratchet to tighten them.

  • Insert back the coils and screw the bolts back in place.

  • Reconnect the wires.
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal back in place.
