2017 Toyota Avalon Hybrid Engine Air Filter Replacement

How often do you replace the air filter in your vehicle's engine? If you don't know or can't name the last time it was changed, this guide may be of great help to you!

Your filters should be replaced every 15,000-30,000 miles or 1.5-3 years depending on driving activity. Air filters help ensure the protection of the car’s engine by blocking out debris, bugs, dust, and any other irritants that permanently damage the engine’s internal structure; and when there are a lot of blockages, it can disrupt the air/fuel mixture.

By replacing the filter you can save a great amount of gas mileage on your vehicle. Overall, your car engine’s performance can slow when met with external irritants so it’s important to regularly replace its filters.

This process is really quick and easy and only requires one or two supplies! Before following this guide, make sure your car's engine has cooled completely and ensure you have the correct filter— not every car is the same!
