- Reach underneath the panel below the steering column and pull the black lever to unlock hood. The lever will have an icon of a car with a propped open hood.

Although this is a relatively simple fix, without a clear understanding of how to remove the bulb you may end up doing much more work than is required or even potentially permanently damage your car's wiring. Also this is an absolute necessity to fix as the front headlights are crucial for the safe operation of your vehicle.
Step-by-step instructions

- Place two fingers underneath hood but directly on top of Toyota emblem to locate hood latch. Push up with both fingers to unlock latch.

- Located right behind the headlight is a red Deutsch connector. Push down on that connector to unplug wiring and rotate unconnected portion counterclockwise, facing from the driver's view, to remove bulb.

- With bulb exposed, twist broken bulb counterclockwise to unscrew from electrical connection. Screw in new bulb clockwise and replace back into socket.

- Be very careful twisting new bulb into electrical connection as the bulbs are very easily damaged.
