This repair guide wil give a walk through on how to replace the power LED in a Sega Genesis.

- Remove plastic "Power / On" cover by pushing tabs together.

- Flip the Sega Genesis upright.

- Pull "Power / On" cover away from the console cover.

- Gently lift the top casing.

- Bend out the LED leads into vertical positions.

- Slide the LED wire apparatus off the lead pins.

- Re-insert "Power / On" cover until it clicks into place.

- Separate the main board from the outer case.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order. When installing the new LED, make sure that the longer of the two legs is inserted into the side of the connector with the red wire.
