- Open the hood and secure the arm.
- Not securing the lift arm could result in injury!

- Locate the car battery and use the ratchet to loosen the negative (-) cable.

- Next, use the ratchet to loosen and remove (+) the positive cable.

- Loosen the bolt that secures the battery in place.
- You can use either a 12 mm wrench, or in the example we used a ratchet extension with a 12mm socket

- Gently remove the car battery.

- Insert the new car battery.
- Do not place the new battery on the ground. Place it on a piece of cardboard or plywood, but not dirt or asphalt.
